Wishing everyone a very very happy Bengali New Year!!! I just drew a simple Boishakhi (Boishakh is the first month in the Bengali calender) card using some traditional Bengali things on it.

SHUVO NOBOBORSHO!!!!!!!!!

I would like to share how the day is celebrated all over the country.
New year's festivities are closely linked with rural life in Bangladesh. Usually on the day everything is scrubbed and cleaned. People bathe early in the morning and dress in fine clothes and then go to visit relatives, friends and neighbours. Special foods are prepared to entertain guests. Baishakhi fairs are arranged in many parts of the country. Various agricultural products, traditional handicrafts, toys, cosmetics as well as various kinds of food and sweets. are sold at these fairs. The fairs also provide entertainment, with singers and dancers staging jatra, pala gan, kavigan, jarigan, gambhira gan, gazir gan and alkap gan. They present folk songs as well as baul, murshidi and bhatiali songs.
Narrative plays like laily-majnu, yusuf-zulekha and Radha-Krishna are staged. Among other attractions of these fairs are puppet shows and merry-go-rounds.

Observance of Pahela Baishakh has become popular in the cities. Early in the morning people gather under a big tree or on the bank of a lake to witness the sunrise.
Artistes present songs to welcome the new year. People from all walks of life wear traditional Bengali dresses: young women wear white sarees with red borders and adorn themselves with bangles, flowers, and tips. Men wear white pyjamas or dhoti and kurta. Many townspeople, start the day with the traditional breakfast of panta bhat (cooked rice soaked with water), green chillies, onion, and fried hilsa fish.
Yesh!! It IS my dream!! I always dreamt for a RED FERRARI and still do!!! I wish I could ride a ferrari to my University every morning buh I dont have that much money and i dont think I will ever have. Even if I ever get to earn that much money ,I am sure i will have 100 more better ways or things to spend my money on..yeah!!!

By the time I finish and upload my new works, I thought sharing these funny cartoons with you all would be a good idea. I found these really funny
!!!
These are collected from different websites.
ENJOY!!!!!!

I randomly picked up some stuffs and put them on a table cloth and drew this picture using pastels. Its a "Seurat style" painting (pointillism). So i used dark colors like purple, dark brown, dark blue etc for shading avoiding black completely.

The picture was taken from my car while i was on my way to the village. The village is called Pabna and its located in Bangladesh. Its a rice farm.

I was really sad last night for some reason. I wanted to cry in the rain but I couldn't.So I sat down and opened my sketch book and ended up sketching these tulips (also was inspired by a picture of tulips in google). I guess this picture somehow shows my sadness..WHAT DO U THINK???

One of my best friends loves to play guitar. This picture is dedicated that person.

During Flood my village people use these boats to go from house to house or to work!!! DOESN'T IT CATCHES UR EYES??
